This is seriously making me mad beyond belief. I spent like 5 hours last night trying to get this game to work. I followed the steps exactly. I download the client from your site. I installed it. I let it update 200/200. I downloaded the 1.0 patch. I extracted it. Copied over. I download the final update patch. Installed it. (Byt the way it said it had a win32 Trojan in it.) I ignored it. I try to start RF Addiction from the desktop icon it gives me and the message I get is: "Windows cannot access the device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."

dude...i have the same problem before....but now i got the game working...

i think the reason why u are getting the message: ""Windows cannot access the device, path, or file. you may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item." is because the antivirus you are using is blocking it.

i had a avast 4.7 antivirus and it detects the trojan. i tried to take no action but the avast antivirus just keeps blocking it even if i ignore....what i did was i got the another anti virus called avira. i deleted the avast and tried avira. it detects the trojan but if you choose to ignore the trojan, it will permit the Rfa to run. you cud just turn of your anti virus or get another one.

hope you get it done!

Guys its so friggin easy to install the game to be honest.

1. Download Client from downloads section

2. Download Patch from latest patch thread in news archive on main page (v2.8)

3. Install client, let client update.

4. Install patch.

5. Play
