Guys, no need to be rude just cuz he's asking what ddos means. And why send him to RFE to ask what a ddos is?

DDOS means: Distributed Denial of Service - Often a ddos consists of several hundreds or thousands of computers which are infected with a virus. Then the person who has infected these computers with a virus sends a command to the virus infected machines which makes the computers send a flood of bad packets to a website or any IP which the person wants to DDOS. The target machine thats being ddos'd is flooded with bad packets of data and so normal network activities, such as serving a web page cannot be done successfully due to the amount of bad data being sent to the machine.

Hope this explains it for you, can get a little confusing.
